METHODOLOGY
Nutrition and allergen research standards
This policy explains how official nutrition documents, item pages and allergen guidance are used, how component totals are calculated and why cross-contact warnings remain essential.
Nutrition-source priority
| Priority | Source | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Newest official nutrition document | Calories, fat, sodium, carbohydrates and protein |
| 2 | Official item page | Ingredients and product description |
| 3 | Official location display | Current item availability and displayed totals |
| 4 | Component calculation | Only when every component is identified |
When official calorie totals disagree
The newest official nutrition document is normally the primary reference. A conflicting official location display remains visible in a source-difference note when it could affect a reader’s decision. The site does not invent a number to force agreement.
Allergen and cross-contact rules
- List only allergens supported by the official material or clearly identified components.
- Keep the official warning that shared preparation can cause cross-contact.
- Preserve the special nut cross-contact warning for waffle bakers.
- Do not describe an item as medically safe solely because an allergen box is blank.
- Direct serious-allergy questions to restaurant staff.
Calculated nutrition totals
Calculated values are labeled as calculated and show the components used. Syrup, butter, sauces, condiments, larger portions and toppings are not silently included. If the build is uncertain, the page uses a range or says selection-dependent.
Medical limitation
Nutrition and allergen pages are informational. They do not diagnose a condition or guarantee that a restaurant can accommodate an allergy, celiac disease or another medical restriction.
Nutrition and allergen research standards FAQs
Which nutrition document is used?
The current project reference is the official menu nutrition document dated May 5, 2026.
Why can a location page show another calorie number?
Digital menus and nutrition documents may update on different schedules.
Are calculated totals official tested meals?
No. They are transparent arithmetic from official components and are labeled calculated.
Does a missing allergen flag guarantee safety?
No. Shared equipment and preparation remain important.
Are waffle bakers a nut cross-contact risk?
The official allergen guidance specifically warns about that risk.
Should a person with a serious allergy rely only on this site?
No, they should contact restaurant staff and use current official information.
Sources and verification notes
- Official 2026 menu nutritionals — Primary current nutrition reference
- Official allergen poster — Major allergens and cross-contact cautions
Store prices can change and are not guaranteed nationwide. Nutrition and allergen information should be checked again before ordering when a medical restriction is involved.
